About the ECR Tech Network

Technology and ECR Network
An initiative of the Technology and ECR Coordinating Committee

Mission
The Technology and ECR Network will function as both a directory and learning resource to build the capacity of technologists and ECR practitioners to more effectively incorporate new tools and technologies in environmental collaborative processes. The directory will connect technologists with relevant experience in collaborative dispute resolution processes to ECR practitioners seeking to enhance their own work through the incorporation of appropriate and effective technologies. The education resource will offer opportunities for practitioners from both the ECR and technology communities to engage in multi-disciplinary skills sharing and joint learning.

User group
The user group for the Network includes: ECR practitioners/mediators, Technology practitioners and developers, Federal agencies, and other government and non-governmental stakeholders and practitioners.

Primary Objectives

  • Support ECR practitioners and federal agencies to find technologists experienced in applying technologies in collaborative processes.
  • Create and support a learning community for both technologists and ECR practitioners.
  • Support technologists to develop improved tools for collaborative processes, and to more effectively apply these, by gaining a more comprehensive understanding of these processes.
  • Build capacity in both technology and ECR communities and help to constructively grow the emerging field of technology-enhanced collaboration and dispute resolution.

A Central Hub for Technology and ECR
The Network will be a central hub for all Technology and ECR initiatives. We envision this critical resource will help us link information about people, technology tools, case studies, training and more. Both virtual and in-person events will help maintain the vitality of the Network, ensuring that we are moving as quickly as the field.

How to Get Involved
Join us in helping to develop this resource! The Network is collaboratively co-managed and the strength lies in the diversity and commitment of those involved.
